After a wetter than normal summer?
It seems just a few sunny days ago that we were all launching boats ready for a summer of cruising and racing, now the days are getting shorter and we are getting a steady stream of enquiries for space over the winter months to bring boats ashore. We are fortunate that we have quite a lot of space, but please do not leave your request until the last minute….. We are filling up and the other yards on the river are getting plenty of enquiries also, so get prepared.
The former FBM shipbuilding yard was acquired to launch the British America's Cup team GBR Challenge 2001 - 2003, and is now being transformed into a thriving boat yard at the centre of world yachting. With specialist boat builders and engineers close by, the largest travel hoist on the island, and undercover storage in Cowes, the Medina Yard is fast becoming the obvious choice for boat owners and businesses alike.
Over the next three years the Medina Yard will be developed into a secure and safe boat yard, working in harmony with professional marine businesses to set and consistently maintain high standards. Its aim is to create an environment that is both popular with the local community and welcoming for all types of boats, teams, owners and marine contractors.
