Here in the Medina Yard through our association with South Boats and the RNLI we have the capacity to lift and store a Severn Class lifeboat, this particular boat is a 'spare' that is ready to cover for any of the Severns that may become disabled in any way. On Friday 25th we had the opportunity to demonstrate how efficient we could be by getting the lifeboat launched at very short notice so that it could be driven down to Penlee in Cornwall it was collected by the Penlee crew on the saturday morning.June 15. 2006
Several boats from the Irish Commodores cup teams have chosen the Medina Yard to prepare for the Commodores Cup giving the yard a pleasant busy cosmopolitan air.We have been able to provide a secure base for these boats to store their equipment and we are able to lift and launch when they require. Whilst they are sailing their equipment and cradle remain secure here at the Yard.May 9. 2006

In our undercover facility the brand new Kerr 37 'Jump Juice' was transformed from a bare hull built at Vision Yachts into a competitive Commodores Cup team member for the Irish Squad. Alpha Plus have been busy, they have overhauled a TP52 - formerly 'Beau Geste', now re-named 'Panthera' and she will raced throughout the summer based from here, Medina Yard. They are currently renovating a 'Corel45' and two 1/4 tonners, as well as the ongoing maintenance for 'Renaissance' and 'Panthera'.
